Thoughts From the Hospital Waiting Room

• Surgeries always take longer than they say
• There is always a family that are table-hogs
• Hospitals still rank up there in the group of "Top Places to People-Watch"
• I'm bored
• My family is funny
• My mom still packs a lunch for my dad even when she's the one in surgery
• There's always a tv hog
• I'm tired of hospitals

Post Surgery Appt #4 Plastic Surgeon

Due to the fact that I most likely injured myself during my big exciting ROLL OVER in bed, Dr felt it wouldn't be smart to do the usual 100 ccs.  DANG IT.  He only did 50 ccs.

Happy 50th Anniversary

Wow, fifty years is a long time.  That's half a century.  And a majority of my mom's life.
She married my dad when she was 15, a true child bride.  He was rescuing her from a life that hardly knew a childhood.
My parents marriage has hardly been a walk in the park.  Yet loyalty & faithfulness.. a commitment matched by God's grace, has lent them the blessing of such a long marriage.

My sibs & I threw them a party -- details that we knew they'd love, with simple requests from them.

I love them... and I love the legacy they've given us.  That Flynn & Gabe will grow up knowing that their parents... and their parents' parents... all loved each other & God enough, to look past life's trials & stay together.

Post Surgery #2 Plastic Surgery Appt

Yay, drains removed... this time, painlessly.
100 ccs added, now for a total of 300.

We laughed with the surgeon about me going smaller than I started...and Jeff not supporting that idea.

#1 Post Surgery PLASTIC SURGEON follow up

Examined 'wounds', said everything (including the swelling just by my arm pits) looks normal.

No drains removed.

Dr says that next week my drains will probably be removed & we will definitely begin filling my expanders.
