- Surgeries always take longer than they say
- There is always a family that are table-hogs
- Hospitals still rank up there in the group of "Top Places to People-Watch"
- I'm bored
- My family is funny
- My mom still packs a lunch for my dad even when she's the one in surgery
- There's always a tv hog
- I'm tired of hospitals

Thoughts From the Hospital Waiting Room
Post Surgery Appt #4 Plastic Surgeon
Due to the fact that I most likely injured myself during my big exciting ROLL OVER in bed, Dr felt it wouldn't be smart to do the usual 100 ccs. DANG IT. He only did 50 ccs.

Post Surgery #2 Plastic Surgery Appt
Yay, drains removed... this time, painlessly.
100 ccs added, now for a total of 300.
We laughed with the surgeon about me going smaller than I started...and Jeff not supporting that idea.

Going Home
After a visit from Dr. Snell (breast surgeon) & Dr. Olivea (Plastics), I was released.
Then home, to find a new normal for the next few weeks.

The Morning After
The puking. The trouble peeing. The sharp twinges where my boobs used to be.
But none of it worse than dying of cancer.

Mastectomy Day
6/25/2012....
Not likely a day I'll ever forget. Sensitive for most, emotional for many. I'm just so on speed mode to do this that I can't say I'm sad.
Everything goes swimmingly. Other than some post-surgery barfing, it's smooth.
Jeff & my mom join me before surgery & are waiting when I'm finished. Pastor Scott prays w/ us before surgery & visits me the following day.
GOD IS GOOD.
