It's Like I Birthed a Child

For reals. I've been up late the last few nights. Have gotten mad. Have gotten glad. Have gotten rad. (okay, maybe not rad, but it rhymed & I didn't want to use sad)

Because I created a little website. Readers, meet my new site. My new site, meet readers.

It will be a combination of the easy/cheesy things I do to save a dime. Good deals I see. Great finds I share from a garage sale or flea market. Hand-me-downs I'm excited to show. Crazy stuff I make or create. Free samples. Awesome coupons. And fun things to do with your family, that won't break the bank.

Vintage Find

I guess I could be partial to this piece because it's dated my birth year. Or because of the sweet little old lady, who owned the home, where I got this garage sale find.
Maybe it's the orange. Maybe it's the green. Maybe it's the cute little animals hiding behind each letter.
Whatever the reason, I knew this little piece of material, for which I paid 25 cents, would have a new life in Flynn's room. I contemplated framing it but wall space is limited & I knew little hands would enjoy being able to rub the stitching & trace the animals.
It's just waiting for a pillow to be slipped inside & to be laid on Flynn's white wood bed.

Baby Needs a New Pair of Shoes

Did you ever know that Aunt G won a car? For real. A brand new Honda hybrid car. I was on the phone with her when the package came informing her of her big win. She thought it was a hoax. I told her, "I'll let you go so that you can go & call & figure out if it's for real."
Well it was.
And I consider her to be one of the luckiest people I know (she wins everything).
But it's worth mentioning that shortly before she won this car, she & her husband helped open an orphanage in India.
For real.
