Oh, Snap!

I might try to talk a big game of being hip & knowing the latest styles & catch phrases. Sure, I try my hardest to make the group at church (KidsPoint) think I'm all that & a side of fries.
But the truth is, here at home, we're pretty far from talking the talk of youngsters & since Flynn's never laid eyes on a Hannah Montana episode, she's not that hip either.

So, imagine my surprise this morning when she & I, enjoying a rousing game of Memory, started getting competitive. I've never been one to let my kids win just because they're kids (heck, I take the opportunity to get some wins under my belt!). Right in the heat of the matching of Barney cards, I matched TWO IN A ROW.
It was clear, it was the turning point, and our eyes locked. I whinced, waiting for a cry of disappointment.
That's when she let out her unhappiness,
"Oh, SNAP!"

I was probably about as shocked as I would've been had a curse word slipped her lips.
"What did you say??"
"Snap."
Then, I had to collapse onto the floor on my side. Bursts of laughter (but careful not to mess up my Memory pairs).
"Where did you hear that?"
"I don't know. It's your turn Mom."

Funny story, that is good. I love to shout out that phrase every once in awhile when I gey excited, but what's even funnier is that she was like "I don't know. It's your turn mom." lol

Mck Mama.
All you need to do is "snap" one of those gorgeous picture of yours...and you've captured all of our attention.

I wish Mck Mama could "snap" to MO & "snap" some "snaps" of my little nappy snappy kids.

What to you say mckmama?, time warp down here to somewhere outside of STL?

Say.it.ain't.so, Orangemomma!

You, your family, and your crazy neighbors live all the way down in Pierre Laclede's home town?

I thought that after the nice-to-get-to-know-you-online stage was over, we'd realize that we live within a morning's driving distance, we'd meet, become the best of friends and end up plotting midnight trips across your street to spread shaving cream across those loud mouth's cars.

Just give me a second...to compose myself.

I guess Mck Mama and I will have to load up our MSC in a bus and set our navigation system due "Gateway Arch." Unless, that is, your neighbors end up driving you up our way. I'll pray for that.

We are also the home to toasted ravioli, White Castle, & The Magic House.

So, you & mckmama, load up your gangs, all 9 of you, & head on down here for a blogganza.

And while you're here, we'll fork the neighbors, TP them, & run them out of the neighborhood.

All while eating some STL-native foods & having fun at our millions of museums.

Come on y'all.
