Some Ideas for My Allergy Girl -- Snacks

Shouts out to my blog-pals who are fellow allergy moms. And I am needing some ideas...

For two things:

  • In Flynn's class, their theme for Sunday is fish. For the snack, obviously goldfish are out. And as yummy as Swedish fish are, they aren't 'enough' to be the main snack. Any ideas?
  • Her Valentine party is coming up (okay, it's like 25 days away, but still). I noticed yesterday that the teachers posted that snacks must be milk-free & to see ME if they'd like to bring a snack. I appreciate them doing this (& was surprised). Since there's a chance there might be a parent or two coming to me, I'd like to have some EASY, yet fun snack ideas. Preferably store bought, as I don't trust a lot of people to cook dairy-free (uncontaminated).

I NEED IDEAS! Thank you!!!!

Got any fish cookie cutters? Are you up for making DF fish sticks? If you're really daring, check this out:

The fish snack is gonna be a hard one....Let me think about this one.

The first snack I always suggest are OREOs - but that's just me. Can you do peanuts in the classroom? Nutterbutters are DF.

Cut strawberries in half and they look kinda like hearts. Dip into powdered sugar?

Red jello jigglers cut into heart shapes or just cups of red jello.

Rice krispie treats if they use the right margarine these can be cut into heart shapes, too. They can also add red food coloring, too.

Give someone the easy task of bringing a red juice.

Is there a DF sugar cookie dough? I'm not sure.

That's all I can think of... hopefully it gave you some ideas.

Good luck!

I'm not sure if they are DF, but goldfish also come in pretzels. That could work for the fish theme (if they are milk free).

They aren't dairy free (I think they have parmesian chz)...
Her great teacher used gummy fish & pretzel rods (fishing rods)!

THank you tho!
